Nine years after leaving university I am both pleased and at times a little ashamed to admit I still think a bit like a student. I was on the train home the other day carrying out a bit of ear-wigging on the ladies the next seat over. My ears picked up when I heard them talking about trips to California.
My ears pricked up even more when I heard them having a good old back-stab about a “friend” who was due to go on her holidays to Las Vegas for a fortnight. According to them it would be ‘horrendous’ and an ‘awful place for two weeks’ what with ‘all that gambling’.

We woke up on the last day of our holiday a little unhappy to be leaving and dreading the task of our final pack. We got it over and done with as fast as possible and decided to take a last drive up to Sanoma (wine country).

We made our way back up to San Francisco via Mountain View (so I could see Google HQ!) and our hotel for this stay was on Lombard St just a few minutes walk from the squiggly bit.
